In this post, I want to share some of the most insane footage of bass absolutely crushing jerkbaits underwater.
Not only is this footage absolutely amazing to watch, it teaches us so much about bass behavior as well and how freakin' fast they actually are.
This footage was filmed by the guys over at Tactical Bassin but you can check it out below.
One of my biggest take-aways on this was that we often miss fish because we wait too long to set the hook. As you see in the video, on numerous occasions the bass simply spits out the bait immediately after eating it.
It also shows us the flaw of some treble hooks out there which are straight up and down and don't always hook the fish.
This is the exact reason why the hooks on our jerkbaits are curved outwards ever so slightly to make it that little bit easier to hook the bass.
In my next post, I'm going show you one little awesome trick that will help you catch a ton more bass using topwater frogs (which in my mind is one of the most exciting forms of bass fishing).
In the meantime, drop a comment below and let us know what you think of the footage above!
Great very interesting
What type of plug is that in the video that stays underwater like that? I would like to order one.
Really like the video, awesome show! I had something similar happen to me years ago as you call it a wolf pak. They really do that, just imagine years ago they didn’t have the lures we have now!
